1. Information we process

a) Information stored on your device

Saved stickers, packs and your analytics choice are stored only on your device (browser storage or app storage). They are not sent to us.

b) Technical data

When you use the website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keeps short-term logs to operate and secure the service.

c) Usage analytics (only with your consent)

If you allow analytics, we use PostHog to record which features are used: stickers viewed, shared, saved or removed; packs created or exported; and searches (only the length of the query, the selected category and the number of results — not the words you type). PostHog also receives your browser and device type, operating system, approximate location derived from your IP address, the page address and a random identifier stored on your device. Analytics are off unless you allow them, and you can change your choice at any time:

d) Stickers sent to us by direct message

If you send a sticker to our account on a social media platform, we store the sticker file and its technical details, digital fingerprints of the file used to detect duplicates, your public username on that platform, the ID and time of the message, and whether we replied. We do not store the text of your messages. We may reply once with a link to download the sticker, and the sticker may be published in the StickerPlug catalogue without your username.

2. Why we process it (legal basis)

• To provide the sticker catalogue, detect duplicates and reply to people who send us stickers — our legitimate interest in operating the service.
• Usage analytics — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Security, abuse prevention and legal compliance — our legitimate interests and legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

3. Who receives it

We may also disclose information where required by law. Because these providers operate outside your country, your information may be transferred internationally with appropriate safeguards.

4. How long we keep it

• Stickers and linked sender records: until the sticker is removed or you ask us to delete your records.
• Analytics: according to our analytics provider’s retention settings.
• Hosting logs: short-term.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, POPIA or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact stickerplugza@gmail.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

6. Children

StickerPlug is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect their information.
